I did a walkthrough of the Alliance hub in Vale of Eternal Blossoms. This place has all the level 90 daily quest givers for the different factions, profession vendors, a room where you can preview the challenge mode armor, and more!

This was the first video that I narrated as I recorded it, and tried dearly not to sound like an idiot. Always appreciate any feedback you can give me. :)

Just showing off Tier 14 for druids. This is what I am deeming the “Yellow Gem/Pale” colored set. There is also a “Red Gem/Dark” set and a “Blue Gem/Bright” set. My favorite is the Bright set.

My guess is that the Pale set is for Raid Finder, Bright set is for Regular Raids, and Dark set is for Heroics.

You can check out all the colors on a male human at MMOChampion. And play with the model viewer on wowhead. (Currently I can’t get the Bright set to load on wowhead)

Healer’s Guide: Ook-Ook from Stormstout Brewery.

The first in a series of videos about how to heal on WoW. I’ve been planning something like this for awhile and I was finally able to start.

Seems like Blizzard is combining the Dalaran Cooking Awards and Chef Awards into one currency: the Epicurean’s Award.

I wonder if the new Pandaren cooking dailies will also use the Epicurean’s Award. If they did, then you would be able to stockpile awards right now to use later. Because of that, I doubt they will.

Still, I’m excited! I stockpiled a lot of Dalaran awards in Wrath in hopes they would be useful in the future.

Glyph of Stars changed in the recent beta build (15657) from a lightning effect around the chest/feet to perhaps the coolest aura-like effect in the game. Balance Druids can shift into Astral Form, which makes the caster’s body transparent and ghost like. Additionally, stars twinkle above their heads and then fall to the ground at their feet. I threw together a quick video to show off the new effect!

Played some more beta this weekend. Decided to scrap my previous premade and made one with the new system. It took a few tries, but I was able to make a new panda shaman in the wee morning hours this weekend.

It looks like they changed the questing flow a bit after you get to Hellscream’s Hope. I feel like there’s about 4 or so quests missing from the immediate area. Your introduction to Lorewalker Cho is completely different now, and the line quest is completely gone. It make me kind of sad, since it was a funny questline. Maybe Blizz couldn’t make it work?

I’m off to help the monkeys kill the fish people now. Let me say that I am very glad the Horde end up with the Hozen and not the Alliance. I’ll take fish people over monkey people any day.

The Line.

There’s a Horde quest relatively early in the Jade Forrest called Wisdom of the Ages. This is part of the first chain of quests of Horde meets Pandaren, in which you meditate with a NPC called Lorewalker Cho. The chain has actually been entertaining until this point.

To do the quest, you talk to Lorewalker Cho at the Cairn of Stone to start a phased ‘vehicle’ quest. I use quotes there, because there’s no vehicle to drive. (tangent: We need to start calling these kinds of quests modified/special UI quests instead of vehicle quests) Instead, you’re presented with a right facing arrow, a left facing arrow and a meter bar in the center of your screen. The goal is to keep the bar from depleting completely AND from filling up all the way. If you do either, the quest remains incomplete and your character falls asleep. You have to start again.

By and large not a difficult quest. The problem is that only one person can do it at a time. If two people try to do the quest at the same time, it bugs for both people and will just go on and on and on without ending. I know, because I was clueless and didn’t realize everyone was lining up for a reason and accidentally bugged the quest for myself and someone else.

So, what’s a group of eager beta testers to do? Form a line! That’s what you see in these pictures. I stood it in for over two hours and in the end I still didn’t complete the quest. The back of the line is very jovial and silly, but the closer you get to Cho; the more people start to behave selfishly.

The real quest, the real wisdom this quest is trying to teach? Patience. I lost mine when I was about 5th in line. I plan to go back in the dead of night, hoping there will be no line.

As far as I could tell, it’s required and puts a stop to your questing in Jade Forrest. I’m sure Blizzard will fix it come release, though. Or it will be a non-issue come a week after the expansion launches.
